rivers
This time of year the water levels are considerably low in general along the rivers in Exmoor, I find it interesting to explore the footpaths and go off the beaten track to discover new comps which would at high water levels be nonexistence
One of the many reasons to keep returning to the same locations repeatedly.
Watersmeet is a fantastic area of natural beauty where two rivers meet and form into one, there are plenty of waterfalls, little cascades, streams, and a triple waterfall which only occurs in the winter months,
It’s full of surprises every time I visit and although I don’t always come away with an image I always have plenty of reccy shots for a future occasion for sure.
I’m trying some new technics and ideas for my images going forward as I need to get out of my comfort zone and keep improving, one of these ideas is putting a big emphasis on foregrounds and working on drawing the viewer’s eyes around my images.
If you plan to visit go very early or late in the evening during the summer months to avoid the crowds,
There isn’t a bad time of year to go in all honestly, you will always come home happy
